Broken Orange Pekoe Fannings (BOPF) is a much sought-after Ceylon tea grade due to its neat appearance with even looking smaller broken leaf particles.

The manufacturing process leaves it with a bright reddish liquor with a strong taste and mostly found in tea bags, due to its quick brewing characteristics. It is primarily grown on the high mountain areas of Dimbula and Uva. However it also produced with low mountain tea gardens where a harsh taste with dark cup could be witnessed.
