Here in this page, we showcase the main tea grades that we manufacture (100% Ceylon / Sri Lankan origin) and a brief description of each grade. It will give you a brief insight of each grade we manufacture, its different qualities and to which part of the globe it is sold mostly.

It is also noteworthy to mention that different countries name / grade their teas in differently. What you will find in this page are what is produced and manufactured in Sri Lanka.

Ceylon Tea Grades

OP1

Long silky and wiry tea leaves which brews a smooth light coloured tea. Primarily sold in Iran but also popular in the Greek market.

Pekoe

This grade is manufactured with young tender tea leaves and buds Leaves of this grade are shorter & curly and occasionally has a short wiry leaf.

FBOP

This coarse cut leaf is popularly consumed by buyers in Iran and North Eastern Turkey.

BOP1

This tea is known as Broken Orange Pekoe1 (BOP1) which consists of a wiry and mostly of medium length.

The Orange Pekoe-A (OPA) is a full sized bold tea leaf made of long, bold and slightly twisted tea leaves and consists larger leaves when compared to other Orange Pekoe varieties such as OP and OP1 grades.
